Conclusion of the Second Edition of the “Professional Volunteer” Program with the Participation of 45 Trainees
The Owais Al-Qarni Endowment, in partnership with the Sela Foundation for Development and Mutawaon Foundation, concluded the second edition of the “Professional Volunteer” program. The program ran from July 29 to August 2, 2025, spanning four intensive days of training and capacity building, with the participation of 45 male and female volunteers.
This program comes as part of the efforts of the Volunteer Unit at the Owais Al-Qarni Endowment to promote a culture of institutional volunteering, enhance the competencies of volunteers, and empower them with the essential skills required to engage in volunteer work in a professional and effective manner.
The program was distinguished by offering high-quality, comprehensive training content, covering four main themes presented by a group of experts and specialists in the field, as follows:
- Effective Leadership in Volunteering, delivered by Dr. Hossam Sharad, covering concepts of leadership, initiative, and influence within volunteer teams.
- Ethics and Transparency in Volunteering, delivered by Dr. Zuhair Al-Mazidi, discussing the principles and values that enhance the credibility of volunteer work and its impact on the community.
- Digital Volunteering and Remote Team Management, delivered by Engineer Ahmed Al-Zubaidi, highlighting the digital transformation in volunteering and the methods for organizing teams and volunteers virtually.
- Monitoring and Evaluation in Volunteer Initiatives, delivered by Mr. Khalid Bakhreisa, reviewing tools for measuring impact and ensuring the quality of volunteer performance.
The program witnessed remarkable engagement from the participants, who expressed that they had greatly benefited from the topics presented and the training experience, which provided them with opportunities for interactive learning, knowledge exchange, and building an effective network within the volunteering community.
